Has she tried compression hose? Her doctor shoud be able to give her a prescription for some. Some people find great relief using them even when they are sleeping. Good Luck!

Check with her Dr. It is probably from blood circulation, heart, or nerve damage caused from diabetes. He should be able to give her advise and help.
